Services for People with Developmental Disabilities

 

PERSON TO PERSON

Person to person provides our clients a variety of pre-employment services by identifying and developing work skills, based on interests and opportunities.

We emphasize on developing and enhancing skills, based on the individual, working together on job exploration based on client's interests. We help find volunteer experience in local organizations, develop resume's, conduct mock interviewing, and appropriate dress code for desired work site.

 

INDIVIDUAL SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT

 

 

Our focus is to provide community employment opportunities that meet the abilities and desires of our participants. Individualized service plans, job development strategies, employer relationships and experienced staff to give support and guidance once the participant is employed.

 

 

COMMUNITY ACCESS PROGRAM

Community Access is a program that offers recreational and social activities for older adults who are keeping actively involved.  Activities will offer Senior Center Activities such as bingo, ceramics, game day, birthday parties and more.  This program caters to people who are 62 and older. Community Access focuses on the client’s interests, personal growth and experience gained while in the program.

 

LEARNING SKILLS CENTER

Is a private, non-profit program that offers a safe, structured and supervised day program for people with developmental disabilities, fifteen years of age and older.  It is a fee for service program with pays for the operation of the program and its expenses.  The Learning Skills Center offers a wide variety of opportunities in a fun, caring, and wholesome atmosphere.  The program focuses on four components: social, educational, recreational, and community integration.

Activities include: arts & crafts, bowling, handbell choir, open gym activities, games, scrapbooking, bingo, building friendships, needlepoint and more!

Morning Class 9 am -12 noon

Afternoon Class 12 noon -3 pm
